My interest in crochet began with my mother, who seemed to know how to crochet without using a pattern. My knowledge about knitting is self-taught and comes from reading books. I prefer to crochet with yarn. Mom always had a crochet work in progress, but prefered the thread crochet. Mom never learned to knit but put out a lot of doilies. She taught me to crochet when I was 9. That was a very long time ago.

I do a lot of my own designs.
When I was not able to find a pattern for just what I was wanting I would simply start working out the details in my head. It is a lot easier to just do it than it is to put it down on paper. I am learning as I go. If you are not able to find a particular pattern just let me know and I will try to come up with something for you. I love a challenge!!!!

Gifts for all occasions.
You can order any afghan in any color or size. They make very nice gifts for any occasion. Baby afghans are done in a super soft yarn. They are machine wash and dry.
